'Tis the Season…For the Flu

Everyone that I know has been fighting off or suffering from the flu. I was on the Smile Mom App yesterday to get an idea for my blog today and the most common topic that was being discussed was the flu. My father-in-law suffered from a really bad case of the flu where he had a 103 degree fever, sore throat, cough and runny nose. My mommy instincts kicked in and my daughter and I came out unscathed.

Here is what I did:

1. I deep cleaned her nursery, mine and my husbands' room and our bathroom - disinfected the door knobs, changed the sheets, pillow cases, dusted, washed all of her bottles and vacuumed.
2. Upped my vitamin C and essential nutrient intake with my breakfast- I'm still breastfeeding so my daughter could benefit from it as well.
3. Ventilated the rooms- Opened the windows to let fresh air flow through
4. Upped our exercise routine- We take 40 minute walks instead of 30 minute walks now to keep our energy levels up.
5. Eat foods that contain a lot of antioxidants.

If you have any questions about the cold and flu I found that webMD has some great preventative measures and curing remedies for this. There are also some natural remedies on there for those of you who are pregnant. Take a look.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Until Tomorrow Then!
